Practice Manager – Enterprise Content Management and Business Intelligence
Serves as a Practice Manager holding responsibility for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Business Intelligence (BI) across the Netherlands. Drives BI and ECM sales and delivery. Ensures meeting revenue key performance indicators (KPI) and quality of service (QOS), as well as employee satisfaction. Plays a key role as the ECM Country Lead for Logica Netherlands as the main point-of-contact internationally. Aligns national and international ECM propositions sales and delivery.

Major Achievements:
• Exceeded the KPI performance average of 87% with a team billing that included holidays of 95% during 2012, retained staff and delivered complete customer satisfaction.
• Facilitated Logica becoming the #1 market leader for Adobe Digital Marketing Suite implementation in the Benelux, UK and Germany by building key relationships with other ECM country leads as well as Adobe, the world’s leader in Applied Customer Inside solutions.

A pension administration company for participants from the education, government, construction, cleaning and window-cleaning sector, housing associations, energy and utilities and sheltered.

Program Manager – IT Infrastructure and Disentanglement
Led the migration of NT-4 back office systems and front office workstations. Implemented Microsoft AD, Microsoft Exchange, software packaging and distribution, file and print services, as
well as 4K workstations. Controlled a € 4M budget, and managed 25 program team members.

Major Achievements:
• Turned around 2 years of migration project stagnation, and delivered results on time, target and budget.
• Delivered the unbundling of a divisional business unit mortgage lender’s IT system on time and within the €800K fixed budget.

LOGICA (ESSENT) Groningen, Zwolle, ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Landgraaf, Netherlands • 2002-2006
Essent is an Energy company that gas, electricity, heat and energy services delivers to consumers and businesses in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Program Manager – Data Centre Consolidation (2004-2006)
Defined a consolidation and transition program for 3 data centers with a total of 450 business critical servers and 70 terabytes of storage with an €19M estimated program budget.

Held full accountability for a large data centre program. Optimized Essent’s data centre’s infrastructure in the Netherlands. Centralized multiple national data centres, migrating and implementing Enterprise Systems and eliminating remained empty data centres.. ~1.2K servers left (a 25% reduction). Developed and led server and software inventory projects and server migrations and implementations. Designed a new data centre and built its infrastructure. Enhanced the data centre’s professionalism and processes. Implemented the program based on outsourcing and procurement as a member of the sourcing team. Reported directly to the Essent CIO, and managed the outsourcing partner.

Served as the Principal and Program Manager for 5 Essent division business units with a total of 11K employees. Drove environmental management.

Major Achievements:
• Successfully migrated the new data centre’s power supply without interruption, documenting each step, managing risk, and developing fallback scenarios.
• Secured division directors’ buy-in to a no performance loss scenario for the centralization of servers
• Consolidated 25% of the systems.

Interim Manager – IT Operations (2002-2003)
Oversaw the Human Resources Services (HRS), Finance and policy systems. Optimized the IT operations department. Managed 75 people and a €35M budget.

Served as a member of the Management Team, overseeing business critical systems such as SAP and GIS (Geographic Information Systems), as well as the data- and telecommunications infrastructure, including Microsoft AD and Novell. Performed technical application management of systems such as Documentum, websites, databases, office automation, call centre applications, Unix machines and Citrix. Led the systems management process (ITIL). Achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification by enhancing internal processes. Held accountability for a partly IT outsourcing transition. Managed ~40 Essent employees and ~35 consultants during outsourcing activities.

Directed the integration of 3 geographically spread Netherlands-wide remote IT operations teams from Edon, Pnem and Mega Limburg that formed Essent in 2001. Implemented Process-and-Project based operations. Instituted a service delivery system and structure while optimizing ITIL processes. Designed and managed the construction of a new control room.

Major Achievements:
• Founded, designed and realized the new end-to-end service management system for the entire 4-layer enterprise architecture that eased service management process (ITIL) execution.
• Saved ~40% of management fees, as well as hardware, software and energy costs without additional capacity through the implementation of end-to-end service mgt.
• Only a growth of new systems by 40% from 900 to 1.3K servers in response to the energy market opening in 2002 through effective change management with a complete client-centric approach (Eisenfelt philosophy). Without this approach, the number probably doubled.
• Decreased staff by 10%, and delivered high employee satisfaction as a result of end-to-end service management.
• Circumvented financial overruns by conducting capacity management on the board level.
• Successfully met increased workload with a reduced headcount.
• Transformed a reactive systems management function into an end-to-end proactive operation.
