- My main role is to reconcile and clean the books of the Dutch Holding Company, which have not been properly maintained for more than a year.
Other tasks and responsibilities:
- Implementing new procedures in order to improve the accuracy of the accountancy
- Creation of spreadsheets in order to automate and standardise daily tasks for Accounts Payable and General Ledger team members
- Month end’s closing: Recording of swap transactions, Accruals, Prepaid Expenses, Inter-Company, Bank Reconciliations, Salaries, Revaluation of Loans and bank accounts (dollar, pound and Euro), follow up of the loans given to all the European Business Units and the charging of the monthly interest
- Reporting of monthly balance sheet and profit and loss tot CFO
- Liasing with business unit managers and financial controllers to produce financial information and analysis’ on ad hoc questions
- Year End Audit (September 2001 and January 2002)

- Preparation and review of monthly financial accounts
- Liasing with Business Unit finance directors and managers to produce analysis of actual to budget variances
