This position required liberal knowledge of all aspects of network and systems operations. Due to the nature of the data and information exchanged the requirement for an extremely secure computing environment was a priority.

Managed all helpdesk operations for the local operations and served in an advisory and support role for the enterprise support team.

Designed and installed the network from scratch, integrating it into the existing campus network of Fort Benning to bridge connectivity to each of the eight separate buildings. Well versed in network technologies and implementations to include cabling requirements, bridge and switch technologies. Familiar with Cisco, HP, and Nortel networking products.

This position required a high level of competence in user workstation maintenance, in both hardware and software troubleshooting. Experienced in supporting operating systems to an expert level include Windows 3.11, Windows 95/98, Windows 2000 Professional, and Windows XP Professional. Network operating systems include Microsoft networking and Novell Client Administration.

Served as technical lead for the design and implementation of a mobile shooting gallery for Army Recruiting. Designed the technical requirements for the system and coordinated with component vendors on the design of the components. Assembled and fielded the solution in three generational forms.

Served on initial concept design team for the use of an online game for recruiting purposes. Resulting in the “Army Game” for the U.S. Army Recruiting Command. Providing technical consultation for maximizing the use of current technologies in recruiting. This included the design of wired and wireless kiosks for collection of prospect contact information in both targeted and large crowd venues.

Primary Webmaster for two Intranet and one Internet site for the command. Macromedia products were the prime tools used in this functional area. Accessibility compliance standards for websites are another arena of familiarity.

Lead Technician for the installation of a web camera solution connected to the Recruiter Services Network by a secure wireless connection spanning one mile.

Consulted for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency on integration of current technologies into battlefield information exchange systems.
