1. German Multi-national

Evaluate the manufacturing and procurement processes of the manufacturing group in Germany with the following deliverables in mind.

- Reduction of Cost Base.
- Consolidation and streamlining of manufacturing / production and supply chain processes
- Consolidation and streamlining of procurement processes
- Cost analysis of in-house production vis-à-vis outsourcing / buying
- Optimum manufacturing location of all-end products to eliminate relatively duplicated products being manufactured in two different countries within Europe.

Multi-National, Ireland/UK/Germany

Assist Client during their acquisition of a European subsidiary of a US multi-national.

My initial project was to evaluate the acquired companies purchasing requirements (IR£35m) including an evaluation of existing vendors, and recommend on a strategy on how to maximize the integration of the new company into the clients organisatio with the following deliverables in mind:

- Successful elimination of third party suppliers and the optimum integration of all production in-house
- Planned consolidation of all vendors, resulting in the creation of a centralized procurement office for Clients moulding requirements.
- Evaluation of all resins being used in existing Client product to highlight the options on resin consolidation.


Plastics Sheet Producer, India

Client is one of the top 10 Sheet producers in India. Up until the late 1990s, client focused their entire sales effort within the Asian market. Due to saturation within their own marketplace they made a decision to target the North American and European marketplaces with their products. Once this effort was initially attempted, it was apparent that the company was finding it difficult to compete against China competitors for the North American and European markets, as well as competitor producers in Turkey for the European market. My role was to essentially do an evaluation of their operation / manufacturing and related processes with a view to streamlining the supply chain and reducing overall costs in order to make their product more competitive upon entry on the end market.



US Multi-National Automotive Connector Manufacturer.

I set up a manufacturing operation in Ireland. My role was responsible for the all operation and process implementation. I was also responsible for all staffing requirements. After project was complete, I stayed on to help establish the company for an additional year.
· Managed New Greenfield company start-up management
· Set-up Management Structure and hired all key personnel
· Managed Product and technology transfers from North America and Germany
· Re-aligned company corporate costing and pricing structures to be competitive in Europe

U.S. / Japanese Multinational 1st tier high volume electronic manufacturer and supplier to the global automotive industry. I was heavily involved with the company during their rapid acquisition and growth path throughout Europe in the mid 90’s primarily in merger and acquisition integration in addition to Greenfield start-ups in Ireland and Hungary. My role primarily revolved around manufacturing/supply chain process integration and improvement.
