• Building and managing the team (45 employees);
• Acquisition- and negotiation process for the purchase of 2 furniture companies;
• Responsible for re-structuring and making these companies profitable.

2000-2003 SHV Holding N.V. LPG division, Supergasbras, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Joint venture SHV – Brazilian family company with a turnover of € 410 million and 2.600 employees.
Commercial director responsible for:
• Total sales and marketing activities for 3 major segments: Consumers, Small and Medium size companies as well as big industries;
• Implementation of a call centre;
• Doubled turnover for medium/small companies: from € 60 M. to € 120 M.
• Increasing market share from 12.5% to 13.5 % in Brazilian market
• Reduce sales channels; from 6.000 to 1.800 distributors in 3 years.

1999 – 2003 SHV LPG division, Hyderabad, India.
Greenfield operation of SHV, with after 4 years a turnover of € 20 million and 450 employees.
Regional director responsible for:
• Sales and distribution of LPG in South of India;
• Doubled the turnover in 1 year to € 40 million;
• Implementing a reorganization, resulting in a reduction of the losses by 75 % and subsequently returning to a profitable operation.

A Philips Division with a turnover of approx. € 2 billion and employing 10.000 employees.
Country manager responsible for:
• Implementation of a Greenfield marketing and sales operation. Selling and distributing Philips Domestic Appliances and Personal care products in the Andean region and in the Caribbean;
• Sales from scratch to $ 8 million in 3 years;
• Hiring, training and motivating a sales team of 21 persons (starting with 3), present in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Panama.

Regional office of Philips DAP for Latin America, turnover € 250 million.
Regional manager responsible for:
• Coordinating Philips sales organization trough out Latin America;
