Recruited to act as an internal consultant with a view towards expanding the role into change management, project management and systems implementation specialist with responsibility for delivering a new and improved way of working throughout the entire group. Focusing on MIS, EIS and Knowledge Management systems, key responsibilities and achievements included the following :-

w Design and delivery of Workshops to capture strategic requirements globally (23 different countries)
w Development and deployment of the corporate MIS strategy
w Project Director for major worldwide corporate IS programmes (CRM, KM, PM)
w Presenting findings, reviews, plans and fully-costed proposals to the Board (ECM)

w Project delivery of worldwide Knowledge Management system into the company for all 23 countries

w Management to designated time and cost budgets of largest research area (£1.2m p.a.) within company

w Successful development of new Design Processes and Deployment into 6 Engineering Groups
w Change programme deployed for introduction of new Processes to Engineering personnel

w Led a Design Group with PM responsibilities for development of application specific integrated circuits
w Project Management of a 4-year research programme (electronic design methods and technologies)
w Team Leader for development of major electronic systems (Defence systems)

w Development of Preferred Design Methods for ASIC design (remains the preferred method today)
w One-year secondment to Japan (transfer design and development technologies of ASIC to the UK)
w Led the development of the Japanese CAD facility, which at that time, was a US based tool
w Team leader for definition of complex electronic systems
w Successful development of three \'state-of-the-art\' ASIC devices for Defence products
