1. FLINT GROUP Narrow Web Printing Inks - Global Supply Chain &Operations Director – Sweden (Oct 2006 – Mar 2009)

• Manage global operations (2 main plants in Sweden and USA) including purchasing, inventory, customer service, quality and distribution worldwide (100 M€ Turnover – 180 persons)
• Reorganize 2 production units by implementation of a Demand Planning ERP module (IFS) to drive production planning and MRP directly from on customer demand and analyze possible interface with SAP Platform (BW,MM,PP)
• Modify purchasing strategy to secure supplies, decrease costs (in/outsourcing) and reduce inventory and implement VMI in IFS System
• Adapt production line layout to optimize Material flow within plants Reorganize distribution flow with overseas markets moving from a centralized to a decentralized production model to get full benefits of lower local manufacturing costs and reduce material flow costs (China, Brazil, South Africa).
• Succeed to reduce inventory by 30% while increasing delivery performance (95%) and reduce costs while managing a double digit annual growth.
• Initiate Six Sigma education training and launch lean production initiatives

2. SAPA RC Building Systems : Logistics Director - Landen (Jan – Sep 2006)

• Manage production, storage and distribution of SAPA Remy Claes window profiles and accessories in Europe and Middle East (176 persons, 12.000 lines/week, 96 M€ Turnover).
• Reorganize activities of Logistics platform to improve product availability and service to customers with specific focus on Customer Service, Production and Supply planning in relation with people organization, working process, technology and Quality (5S, TQM, Kaizen).
• Upgrade MRP package (AS400) with new forecasting system, Safety stock, Capacity planning Tool and build up a Service Performance measurement Datawarehouse (BO) .
• Negotiate service agreement contracts with key suppliers.

3. ARIBA legacy FreeMarkets (IT software & consulting Company) : Low Cost Country Sourcing Senior Manager – PARIS (Feb2003 –Dec 2005)

• Sell and Deliver major Sourcing/Outsourcing (India, China, CEE) Projects (IT Package & services) for European Customers from Automotive, Aerospace and Industry such as Valeo, Teleflex, Ford, EADS, Rexam, Tenneco, Essilor, Alstom, Auchan …(Average purchase volumes from €10 to €100 Millions).
• Analuyze Customer purchase process weaknesses and priorities to offer adequate purchasing platform and services in regards with product commodities, research of new suppliers, price negotiations, global process, logistics and technologies (E-Sourcing/E-procurement) in various environment (SAP, Movex, IFS,..).
• Manage Implementation teams (Ariba/customer) of buyers, quality auditors, engineers, IT specialists, commodity managers (20 to 30 persons) with strict time, budget and resource management.

4. DUNLOP AEROSPACE : Benelux Business Unit Manager ( Oct 2001 - Dec 2002)

• Reporting to the European Aftermarket Director, my role was to manage and reorganize the Benelux plant. The plant activities were the Repair and Maintenance of aircraft wheels and brakes – 13 persons. Customers were major airlines in Benelux, France and Germany such as TNT Airways, DHL, KLM
• Re-organization of transport, negotiation of purchase with parts manufacturers and implement ad-hoc stock management policy to decrease operational costs.
• Adapt the production capacity to absorb a 50% increase of production output.
• Review and simplify the order flow process of customer service, operations and delivery to reach the 5 days turn around time requested by new customers.
• Prepare a project of warehouse extension to build up additional production/warehouse capacity.
• Document new processes to be compliant with CAA/JAA aerospace certifications and prepare the ISO9001 certifications successfully obtained in January 2003.

5. MOBISTAR : Customer Service Intelligence Manager (Jan-Sep 2001)
• Reengineer a team of 14 data analysts and reporting agents. Report to the Customer Service Director. Organise and implement retention and up-selling promotion campaigns of Customer Service Department (17 Millions EURO in 2001).
• Reorganise the roles, the reporting and the workflow process of the department to maximise his added value in the customer Service thanks to a better focus on customer and business requirements.
• Develop, promote and implement the new department organisation.
• Manage the development and implementation of new CRM functionalities to support Retention/up-selling activities of Customer Service Call Centre with key information on customers.
• Collaborate to the development/improvement of Customer Service Data Warehouse and Data Mart aiming to provide better access and analysis of key data.

TENNECO AUTOMOTIVE : Business Manager (Truck Aftermarket) with Tenneco Automotive - Brussels (Mar 1998-Dec 2000)
• Manage the design, production, inventory and distribution of a new line of shock absorbers dedicated to the commercial vehicles market in Europe. Objective: become Market leader in 5 years. (2000 Sales results : €2 Millions)
• At the head of a cross-functional team of 20 persons (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Logistics, Sales,...), co-ordinate and manage the business development and Supply chain organization in a SAP environment.
• Drive the development of the most relevant product technology and select ad-hoc product range. Determine the adequate level of production to progressively build-up the stock and guarantee the availability and service level of all parts.
• Negotiate new contracts with distributors in Europe and manage relations with key customers.
• Lead a global Company IT initiative aiming at the development of a catalogue data warehouse, and electronic catalogue on all Tenneco products. Develop and launch of a Web based catalogue and E-commerce site dedicated to automotive distributors.


SKF Roller Bearings (1988-1998)

Senior Product Manager with SKF Autoparts - Paris (1996–1998).
• Responsible for the Product Management of 2 product lines dedicated to the passenger cars and commercial vehicles aftermarket : Clutch Release Bearings and Timing Belt Kits (€14 millions with 50% boost of sales in 97).
• Negotiate Purchase contracts, and partnerships with European automotive key market players/competitors (INA,..).
• Elaborate a successful marketing strategy for the start-up/development of ad-hoc product range.
• Co-ordinate the engineering resources to design, prototype and source components for the launch of new products.
• Determine, Negotiate and Control the pricing policy in Europe with VSM Sales Managers
• Calculate Sales forecasts and Coordinate production planning and procurement of components with Production Planning and Purchasing Departments.

Supply Planning Manager in the European Distribution Centre of SKF- Tongeren (1993-1996) .
• Start-up and Manage Supply and Stock Planning of new SKF European Distribution Centre with
successive close-down of all national warehouses in Europe.
• Analyze, Test and prioritize requested corrections; improvement of functionalities of MRP system to optimize availability and reach a service level of 97% while minimizing the level of Stock.
• Calculate Production Forecast and negotiate production planning with SKF Production Units to reserve/secure necessary capacity resources.
• Monitor inventory and in/out order flows to maintain an optimal stock level with a team of 4 persons
• Develop programs (SAS, Query) to extract data from AS400 and Mainframe, build-up an Access database and program to produce Customer Service performance graphical reports.
• Lead TQM teams to audit and improve the accuracy of software measuring the delivery service performances from EDC to customers and identify operational and Software corrective actions.
• Reorganise the supply chain and stock management of SKF automotive aftermarket business units organizing the removal of inventory at Plant International Warehouses, the management of supplies to EDC by the Business Production Units.

Supply chain and Forecast Demand Analyst in the SKF Group Forecast and Production Planning Co-ordination Centre of SKF- Brussels (1990-1993)

• Collaborate to the Global Production Plan and Supply chain forecast (36 Plants and 12 Product Lines) through the maintenance and update of a DataWarehouse (Mainframe/AS400/PC) and calculation of ad-hoc production forecasts.
• Prepare performance measurements reports and analyses of SKF worldwide Manufacturing Units and warehouses.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a new Demand Forecast calculation & reporting software to further improve the global MPSS-MRP production planning and SKF forecasting system.
