European Head Office (The Hague NL) controlling the European Operations of Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI Kuwait, Middle East) with a turnover of 18.000m$, a net worth of 4.000m$ and centres of gravity in Benelux, Italy and Scandinavia.

1/COO - European Operations Director The Hague NL 2013 - 2014

Controlling on behalf of the Vice President Europe (based in Kuwait) the European Operations of Kuwait Petroleum International in manufacturing and marketing with centres of gravity in Benelux, Italy and Scandinavia, as well as the across Europe businesses of lubricants, aviation and consumer road transportation.
Coaching on performance management and enhancement as well as the implementation of strategic projects across Europe.
During the same period working on the Shared Service Project of Q8 in the role of Shared Services Director

2/Group Marketing Advisor The Hague NL 2011 2013

Advising the corporate management (VP Europe and European Operations Director) on all marketing & sales activities of the company in Europe with a main focus on performance management and enhancement, knowledge & best practice sharing and coordination of the corporate management decision making process.
Establishment of the European Office, with a small team of professionals and working closely together with the CEOs and the management teams of the marketing affiliates of Kuwait Petroleum in Europe.

Kuwait Petroleum North West Europe (KPNWE Antwerp BE) sales & marketing affiliate from Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI Kuwait, Middle East) for retail and direct consumer operations in BNL as well as Consumer Road Transportation operations in Europe with turnover of 6.000m$, a net worth of 500m$ and headcount of close to 1.000 employees across the North West Europe area.

1/COO - Retail Director Benelux Antwerp BE 2009 2011

Leading a high performing team of about 120 people and responsible for developing, communicating and maintaining the retail strategy of Kuwait Petroleum in the Benelux (600 franchised retail service stations with a market share of 9% - number 2 in BE and LU and turnover of 3.500m$).
Growing the scale of the Benelux retail operations, through acquisitions of substantial independent networks.
Improving results and customer satisfaction through operational excellence .

2/CHRO - Human Resources Director North West Europe Antwerp BE 2004 2009

HR general management for all countries within the North West Europe area of Kuwait Petroleum (about 1.000 employees based in Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Germany and Poland) and expanding into Eastern Europe.
Turnaround of the HR department from an administrative department into a real business partner model and leading restructuring projects for the closure of the offices in Germany and France with subsequent centralisation of the activities in Belgium and Netherlands.

3/General Manager Company Operations Kruibeke BE 2001 2004

General Management of 2 KPNWE franchised affiliates in Belgium and Netherlands responsible for the operational activities of the high throughput, high turnover retail service stations in both countries (total headcount of 400 people and turnover of 680m$).
Expansion of the activities in Netherlands after some major acquisitions of retail networks.


Aral Belgiƫ NV sales & marketing affiliate from Aral AG (based in Germany)for retail and direct consumer operations in Belgium with approximately 1.000m$ turnover and a small team of about 50 employees.
