2009 (12 months)
ad interim- Head of Operations with a leading international manufacturer of systems for wind power plants.
Successfully managed and executed ambitious restructuring project before and during carve-out. Managed up to 150 people. Objectives met respectively overfulfilled: Inventory (-40%) and troughput times (-25%) vastly reduced, productivity (+30%) increased. After restructuring, company was successfully sold to a major international holding

ad interim- Head of Global Sourcing with a manufacturer of semiconductor production machines. Managed departments in Switzerland and Singapore.

2008 (5 months)
Global Sourcing and Production Optimization Project for an international solar module manufacturer.
Ensured raw material supply for the most modern solar module production facility in the world, during the stage of an extreme global silicon shortage.
Scope of negotiation: Upper 3-digit million Euro.
Revised and adapted production processes in order to drastically improve plant utilization by implementing contract production orders. Trained personnel.

2007-2008 (8 months)
Management of a Cost Reduction and Lean Production Project for a newly developped textile machine at an international textile machinery manufacturer. Emphasis on global sourcing, technical value analysis, purchasing management. Adaption of product to newly introduced flow production. 15% cost reduction achieved.

2007 (6 months)
Consulting Project at ABB HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEMS INC., CH-Turgi. Structural analysis and concept laying the basis for a 2.5 million swiss francs capital spending requirement for test equipment.

2006 (4 months)
ad interim- Head of corporate R&D with a leading manufacturer of wash room care products. Definition of a new dispenser line (technically complex devices, mainly consisting of injection-moulded plastic parts, electronic motion control units). Search for and integration of suitable external partners for Design and Product Development.

2005-2006 (10 months)
ad interim- R&D Project Manager at a leading manufacturer of special machinery for solar & semiconductor wafer fabrication.
Established a professional R&D- project management. Headed the technical development of the new company product, an innovative Wire Saw for silicium wafers, from concept through to serial manufacturing. The new saw accounts for approx. 70% of the future company turnover. Team of 16 designers & engineers.
Initially hired as technical trouble shooter to solve „early failure“ problem of the previously launched machine model. Quickly identified the technical cause and established action plan to restore the machine operation at the customers' sites.

2005 (7 months)
ad interim- Program Manager at a leading international manufacturer of exhaust systems for the automotive industry.
Responsible for customer relation and for regaining customer confidence of the main customer Porsche. Redevelopment of the entire production and logistics of the business unit with approx. 120 employees. Previously deployed as head of distribution (35 employees) and as a troubleshooter in logistics

2004 (6 months)
ad interim- Manager at a leading international manufacturer of banknote and cash handling machinery.
Responsible for generating a new, worldwide Service- and Spare Parts Supply System for the newly opened product range .
Further Projects: Optimizing the Strategic Supply Chain, Cost Reduction in Procurement.

2003 (10 months)
ad interim- Head of Supply Chain Management at an international textile machinery manufacturer. Tasks: Tracking and implementation of cost savings in order to reach BU turnaround. Objective (substantially outperformed!) : Minimum 10% reduction of product cost for Denim dye plants within a 6 months time frame. Result: Reached 19% cost reduction.

2002 (7 months)
ad interim- Supply Chain Manager for a manufacturer of semiconductor production machines.
Developed strategies, concepts and tools for sourcing development partners and executed the pilot project: Worldwide acquisition, evaluation and engagement of ideal partners. Internal training and coaching of R&D personnel.
Responsible execution of resourcing projects for key system components.

2001-2002 (10 Monate)
ad interim- Sales and Marketing Director/ Turn-Around Manager with a small size swiss high tech - special machinery company. Objective: Placement of the niche products on the world market, regain customer trust, acquire new customers, open new markets in asia. Restructured operations, focused development efforts to key developments, designed internal processes.

Responsible for manufacturing and supply of approx. 85% of all F1 vehicle components. Responsible for all MoB decisions. Build-up of a professional procurement organisation based on industrial standards and with a strategic orientation.
Coaching of designers concerning manufacturing and fabrication issues.

1997-1999 (2,5 Jahre)
HILTI AG professional fixation equipment, Fürstentum Liechtenstein.
(21 months) Head of strategic sourcing for a new business unit of the company.
Integrated in a management team consisting of Marketing, Quality, Strategic Sourcing and Research/ Development. Acquisition and evaluation of suppliers. Build-up of supplier relations and coaching of the market-implementation for the new product range, which is entirely sourced externally.
(10 months) Project manager in strategic sourcing and development. Management of external development projects. Responsible for the implementation of the new sourcing strategy focusing on external development, as well as for the coaching of „lead suppliers“ with development responsibilities. Also generated a management process now implemented in the HILTI corporate process management system.

Attended a 1-year development- and marketing-oriented trainee stage. Then responsible for the procurement of tube systems. Subsequently, responsible for the sourcing of major components for industrial facilities.
After the fusion of the company with GHH Borsig Inc. in ‘96, deployment to the additional sourcing department in Berlin. Responsible for sourcing of braced, forged and electronic parts, heat- and mechanical treatment.
