Senior HR Manager 1997 to 2001

Responsible for leading HR projects supporting major strategic change initiatives and providing development support to senior management teams, this was an UK wide role based in Bristol.

- Designed and implemented an innovative process to select all Senior Executives for the new combined Lloyds TSB retail branch network.
- Designed and rolled out a successful sales management workshop that was adopted nationally.
- Conducted a series of highly acclaimed senior team building sessions.
- Created and implemented an on-line Career Management Intranet site.
- Secondment to a number of high profile strategic HR projects in recognition of my project management skill sets.

Regional Training Manager 1996 to 1997

Managed all regional training activity supporting 5200 bank staff leading a team of 24 trainers reporting to the Regional Head of HR, based in Aylesbury.

- Delivered the highest proportion of face to face and flexible learning training within LTSB
- Introduced a successful business consultancy service within the region.
- Doubled the utilisation of flexible learning (CBT) channels through an education campaign.
- Successfully managed the team through a period of great uncertainty with no reduction in service quality throughout.

Managed all operational personnel activity within 2 Retail Bank Area Director Groups, reporting to the Regional Head of HR and managing a team of 3.

Royal Navy, MOD 1978 to 1986

Joined as a commissioned Officer, rising to the rank of Lieutenant after 5 years and completed an 8 year short career commission in the Operations Branch. Undertook a number of sea going roles in the fleet, qualified to take command of a warship at sea and as a fighter controller.
