Role: Project Leader
Client: Australian Joint Venture of major German automotive paint company and Australian market leader
# Successfully re-engineered company’s purchasing processes after merger had led to a significantly broadened product range. Defined minimum stock levels for all products. Implemented IT application “Arrow Order Module” in order to automate order proposals.
# Reviewed and redesigned Joint Venture’s distribution concept. Centralized warehousing in one location. Planned and managed warehouse reconstruction including design of new storage layout; procured new racking and handling equipment; selected and controlled all subcontractors. Managed application procedure for obtaining relevant approvals from NSW authorities. Introduced a random stock location system. Managed change. Improved Joint Venture’s reliability of delivery (OTIF) from 18 to over 90 percent.
