1998-2003 PROJECT MGR CHANGE MANAGENT
Worked as part of the Project Management team that restructured the European sales and financial organization of a multinational American company of more than 50 million sales and 400 employees.
• Converted the original business plan in a project implementation plan.
• Co-designed the Financial Shared Service Centre Model for centralised activities and local activities.
• Incorporated best practices into the model and conducted a fit/gap between current practices and the best practices.
• Developed the initial organisation structure for the centralised organisation and project governance.
• Developed procedures and detailed work-instructions for the financial and operational activities for both in country as the central organisation.
• Developed the recruitment program for the central organization. Co selected the HR manager that executed the program. Through this program recruited the initial transaction processing staff for all the financial functions.
• Managed a team of 4 trainers and 1 training coordinator.
• Developed training material using the procedures and work-instructions developed by the Methods and Procedures team and the Software Implementation team.
• Rolled out the training program to the UK, Spain, Portugal, France, Austria, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, the Middle East and Russia.
• Once all countries were implemented, managed a pool of 7 external functional and technical consultants for the implementation of the change requests
• Assembled the project teams, using consultants and operational resources; defined the responsibilities, work scope, and targets for each team.
• Prepared the project definition and detailed plans and obtained approval from the Project Review Board.
Managed the resolution of project issues, scope and control changes.
