January 1996 ¡V January 2002: Product Manager / Business Development Coordinator at a US manufacturer of conveyor belts, supplying mainly to the food and beverage industry all over the world. As Product Manager / Business Development Coordinator I was responsible for the marketing of products in certain industries worldwide(e.g. beverage, can manufacturing and packaging industry). Main tasks and accomplishments:
ƒ{ develop a strategy and commercial business plan for the industry and ensure execution of the action items
ƒ{ market research of trends and developments in the industry; make strategic recommendations based on the information to the management team (desk research and customer visits)
ƒ{ planning and execution of campaigns and development of marketing tools (direct mail, advertising, trade shows, brochures, videos, presentations, seminars, new product launch)
ƒ{ team leader of industry teams consisting of account managers, district managers, sales engineers
Other tasks:
ƒ{ Supervisor telemarketing department: restructuring the telemarketing department: hiring new employees, develop and implement monitoring system, coordination of projects and workload, coaching, performance reviews, development of department business plan.
ƒ{ Team leader implementation new sales/marketing information system (project completed Sept99): team of 9 persons making sure that the conversion of the old information system, used throughout the company was done smoothly, organize training for all office and field sales employees.

1995: Travelling around the world with my husband for approximately one year.

July 1992 - March 1995: Marketing analyst at a US manufacturer of conveyor belts.
As the company was still very small when I started, the marketing department still needed to be developed in which I played a major role.
Main tasks and accomplishments:
ƒ{ organizing direct mail campaigns in our major selling countries in Europe (Benelux, Germany, Italy, France, Scandinavia)
ƒ{ hiring, training and coaching of telemarketing representatives to support the above mentioned campaigns and to generate new prospects (this included temporary and permanent employees)
ƒ{ (re)organize, set standards and conduct training regarding our sales & marketing information system that includes all information on our customers, prospects and leads
ƒ{ issue pricing and notification throughout Europe on new released products
ƒ{ put together the department plan for the coming year together with the marketing manager and try to bring all marketing activities in line; advertisements, trade shows, campaigns, etc.
ƒ{ coordinate with field sales per country what target industries to focus on for coming year
ƒ{ developing new promotional material; brochures, advertisements, campaign pieces, ¡¥case histories¡¦, etc.
ƒ{ improve communication between field sales, customer service and marketing department

October 1989 - June 1992: European new product & pricing specialist at a US manufacturer of programmable controllers and other equipment for industrial automation. Main tasks and accomplishments:
ƒ{ coordinating new product launches in Europe (brochures, exhibitions, demonstration-units and television broadcasts)
ƒ{ coordinate and calculate pricing for new products to be launched through competitive research on the various European markets
ƒ{ organizing and restructuring the pricing policy in Europe, carry out margin analyses and creating a pricing database
ƒ{ being involved as a member of a project team, with the organization and preparation of the installation of a new planning-, order processing- and invoicing system

November 1986 - August 1989: various positions at an American producer of plastic raw materials
The company manufactures plastics used for e.g. household appliances and in the automotive industry. Functions and main tasks:
ƒ{ Cost accountant: stock control, administration and control of fixed assets, management reporting on production costs
ƒ{ European financial analyst: consolidation of European financial data, forecasting of sales, production and profit for coming months and creating/adapting computer programs, performing ad hoc analyses and consequently giving recommendations.

As part of my studies at the H.E.A.O., I have worked as an intern at the export department of a French liquor producer Angers, France.
