- Responsibility over 15 FTE, 2nd and 3rd line system engineering Wintel (> 500 servers), Unix (> 100 Sun servers) and San. Consolidation of Sun and Wintel Hardware platforms, mass virtualisation. Introducing operational governance, project planning, …The goal of the mission to hire an (internal) IT-Support Manager has been successfully delivered.
- Definition and initiation of a Web-infrastructure project valued > 2 mio€, in line with the VRT-strategy to position Web as a third distribution channel. The tender has been published, offers are being evaluated.

January 2007 – January 2008 (13 months): (Interim) Contract Manager (Getronics)
- Responsible for P&L and daily management of an outsourcing contract valued 3mio€/year. Contract covers mainly Service Desk and Workplace Services (Intel), including traditional voice (Alcatel) and IP-TEL(Cisco). Improved significantly SLA’s and converted margin from negative to above company average.
- Program manager for several transformation projects valued > 500K€, covering DRP SAN and Data/Voice Network redesign, split over a primary and a secondary data-room.

May 2006 – December 2006 (8 months): (Interim) Transition Manager (Getronics)
- Transition Manager for field related services in a large outsourcing project (> 800mio€) within the financial services sector. Focus on Field Services and Service Desk Transition. Involved in the preparation of specific bid processes, negotiation with people and trade unions.
May 2005 – April 2006 (1 year): (Interim) IT Services Manager (COSMOS/PSA-HNN)
 Interim IT Services Manager. Improving processes, designing and implementing a Service Desk, improving call-centre facilities by introducing IVR and ACD (Ericsson); managing 30 FTE (service, field & system engineers WINTEL & iSeries). Transition of team & integration in existing ICT-team of the holding company.

February 2005 – May 2005 (4 months): (Interim) Manager/Auditor (Shurgard Self-Storage)
- Audit of the European ICT-services organisation, by mirroring the current situation on the ITIL standards. Definition of small-sized and quickly deliverable improvement projects. Training and coaching of the local and central service organisation.

2004-2005 Interim management mission for a European bankinsurer. Replacement of a service manager, leading approx 50 FTE.

2003 - 2004 SWE Migration Manager (ING Insurance)
Definition of a migration strategy to create a new European-proof ICT-platform out of the three merged platforms (project > 300 man-year), mainly taking into account the strategy related to the distribution channels bank/broker; negotiations with other ING-partner companies and external package suppliers; organising internal workshops and gap-analysis.
Replacing a scanning/document management platform resulting in a cost reduction of 7 operators; negotiations with European functional CIO’s, package selection, commercial negotiations, with suppliers, assistance to the project team.
Replacement of a mass printing functionality (> 100.000 pg./day) by a future proof and hyper performing solution, well integrated with similar activities within ING Bank. Lobbying with European functional CIO’s, setting up a feasibility study, definition of and support to the project-team.

2000 - 2003 Application Delivery Manager (ING Bank België)
Management of about 200 application developers and analysts; implementing a Change programme within the whole ICT-Business Unit (Primary objectives: empowerment of the ICT-organisation, helping to position BBL within ING-group, hiring new staff, thus reducing external staff and buying in know-how). Renegotiating contracts with suppliers with important price reductions (> 20%) and quality leverage as a result. Side role as assessor in a process targeted to indicating “HI-PO’s” within the ING-organisation.
Final responsibility for projects and maintenance (budget > 30 Mio €) of a portfolio in insurance, private banking, financial markets, securities, international payments & cash management. Program management (>80 FTE), PMO set-up. Package selection and commercial negotiations (BackOffice Fin. Markets).

1999 - 2000 Managing IT Consultant (Deloitte & Touche België)
Responsible for leads, intake and realisation of projects; P&L responsibility for 20 IT-consultants (> 2 Mio €).
Successful Y2K reengineering project in relation to the financial/Tax chain within BASF Brussels. Project lead with a cross-functional team of accountants, developers and system engineers.
Introduction of a “Car-configurator” for Renault Belgium. Responsible for the link with the operational processes in relation to finance and lease (Overlease).

1995 - 1999 IT Manager (Tullett & Tokyo Forex International)
Technical and operational responsibility for all ICT-related systems, in a high-tech environment of a trading room with > 50 persons.
Selection and implementation of a Front Office real-time pricing platform. Definition and roll-out of a whole new infrastructure (Servers, Workstations, UPS’s, Disaster Recovery Plan, Satellite communication, …).
Design, development and roll-out of a BackOffice application, reducing BackOffice staff with 2 persons (-50%), and also drastically reducing confirmation periods to clients from 6 hours tot 5 minutes.
Successful (re)-negotiation with telecom operators on a contract (> 1 Mio €), realising a cost reduction over 20%.

1991 - 1995 External System engineer (Dolmen Computer Applications)
Projects at several client’s sites in financial business (An-Hyp, Ippa, Gemeentekrediet, Banque Dewaay) in diverse system environments (MVS, VM, VMS, HP UNIX, Sun Solaris, OS/2, WINx).
