Clients/assignments:
- Current assignment started in July 2003: Head of Marcoms for BMB, a fast-growing integrated agency of 130 people in Luton, near London. The Marcoms unit services the integrated marketing communications needs of clients like GMAC (General Motors Financial Services) – for whom a single brand was introduced across Europe, NTL (acquisition: Broadband Cable TV/Telco/ISP), Center Parcs (acquisition and retention, BTL), IDT (t-t-l launch: Carrier Select provider and ISP), TGI Friday’s (t-t-l: Whitbread restaurant chain), Police Mutual Assurance Society (t-t-l), Polaroid (SP), etc. His remit is to increase team expertise and performance in the individual marcoms disciplines and in their integration, achieving better creative and results through better strategic planning and better process. He is a member of the management team and is also active in advising the Board on restructuring the organisation to handle growth and deliver new skills and services.
- Consultancy for Arizona Chemical (first half, 2003): Achieved better European marketing plans produced on time. Method: A Marketing Planning audit, which in turn drove process development and training.
- UPC Corporate (2001 – 2002): European Marcoms Director for the development and launch of this pan-European converged iTV, ISP and telecom brand. Agencies were appointed, Brand Identity and Guidelines, atl launch campaign and DM retention programme were planned, workshopped across all European countries and produced.
- Dutchtone - now Orange (2000 – 2001): Head of Marcoms and consultant on brand development, agency reappointment and campaign development process.
- Amsterdam Advertising (1998 – 1999): Strategy Director - agency repositioning and strategic planning for new business pitches and clients.
