Work Experience

1991 – 2006 Owner and independent business psychologist in my own private agency with 5 employees. This agency carried out HR activities for companies: general HR support, career development, organizational change, assessments and interim management activities for companies.
In this period I carried out a large number of interim management assignments, both in profit and in non-profit organizations, mainly in the fields of organization development and HR, but also on a general management level.


March 2006 - present: HR Director at Rockwool Benelux BV in Roermond and, as such, a Member of the Management Team consisting of five directors. Rockwool Benelux has 1300 employees in the Benelux, and over 8000 employees in 28 countries all over the world. The company produces mineral wool products and sells insulation materials for the building industry and specialties based on mineral wool. The company is the local and the worldwide market leader.

The HR Director is responsible for the HR policies within the Benelux and has the following main tasks:
- Managing the HR department with 22 FTE.
- Collective bargaining (on the Collective Labour Agreement)
- Co-developing the international Rockwool HR policies as a member of several international work groups.
- Carrying out job evaluations (Mercer’s IPE system)
- Contact for the Works Council as the deputy director
- Chairman of the company’s pension fund
- Coordination of international recruitment procedures
- Developing and implementing both local and international policies for management development and succession planning


My agency was incorporated into another organization in 2006, after which I withdrew to concetrate on interim management assignments.



Education

1985: Bachelor's degree in Pedagogy
1987: Master's degree in Psychology (Tilburg University), field of study: a combination of cognitive psychology and organizational psychology.
1999: Registered as a qualified mediator (NIP).
