Project description: Recruitment of (scarce) higher-level ICT and ICT-related staff. Trigger: achievement of cost-savings by reducing the number of external consultants hired for these positions (cost savings target: € 8 million per annum). Available project budget: € 1 million.
As project manager I was responsible for amongst others:
• Developing the contracting strategy for and performing vendor selection of external recruitment agencies,
• Liaison with and coordination between all external parties and internal stakeholders involved,
• Control of media budget,
• Media strategy development,
• Regular update and results reporting to the various Divisional Management Teams of NS involved,
• Ensuring a quantitative and qualitative stream of sufficient applicants to achieve the recruitment objectives,
• Priority setting in recruitment activities,
• Formulation of recruitment procedures as well as drafting of a consistent recruitment policy at Corporate Level.
In addition to the above I was asked to contribute to the “Information plan NS Holding”. This plan entailed an inventarisation across the company regarding the performance/adequacy of the HRM function (effectiveness of labor market communication, job description structure, performance review systems, salary and award systems, recruitment, management development policy, career paths, organizational structures).
