Task: Realize extra lease production by business development with vendor distribution channels and professionalizing international sales; client referral by the international network and product development.
Activities: New strategy developed including implementation plan. Set up of the support organization (e.g. define KPI’s, steering mechanisms, design commercial and financial reports, hire new team). Road show to win support and assign tasks for new sales organization. Monitoring results and appraise performance. Prepare and decide on budgets. Day to day management of support organization in Amsterdam and bi-monthly sales meetings with commercial directors of all 15 lease units. Visit key clients and acquire prospects. Negotiating final contracts and programs. Leading international e-lease program. Developing strategic partnership with US based lease company and key vendors. In Management Team responsible for strategy, commerce and marketing.
Results: Realized additional lease production exceeding € 825 million, acquired 4 international vendor programs, 2 remarketing agreements, strategic partnership signed, supervision of Customer Due Diligence project and realization of the new strategy for ING Lease Group.

Postbank 1999 - 2004
Manager product management Savings (10 FTE), member of MT “accrual of equity”
Task: Increase profitability and market share of Savings division. Managing the department, lead project portfolio and implement lean processes in cooperation with back office.
Actions: Create a program of product development projects to insure profit growth. Set up business case per project and manage projects from design till delivery including introduction campaigns. Initiate direct marketing actions and other B-to-C sales programs. Set up multi disciplinary teams to analyze our delivery processes and implement identified improvements. Handling grievances and complaints while making sure to realize changes to remove the causes. I was coach in the company wide culture change program. We developed a long term vision and policy on savings based on the data conducted through an especially set up intensive market research program.
Results: Three new products introduced (a.o. internet savings)and demarked two old expensive saving products, thus a complete and state of the art product assortment. Profit growth over 10% yoy while gaining 3 percent points market share in a mature market . Decreased costs by reduced complaints and improved process design. Increase in client satisfaction.

Senior Business Developer e-commerce (5 FTE) 1999-2000
Task: Business development of e-commerce payment products. Realization of transactions revenues and representing Postbank in Dutch Banks Association.
Actions: Research and scoring best IT solutions. Develop partnerships. Acquire web shops and consumers for the chosen e-payment solutions through direct marketing actions and joint promotions.
Results: Joint introduction of 3 e-payment products (with KPN, VISA/Mastercard). Executing deep selling actions and promotions. Handing over products from project to line organizations.

Task: Organize and design new sales teams for the branch network focused on medium companies and institutions to increase profit and market share.
Actions: Act as linking pin between branch network and project team. Make realistic plans to ensure support for the actions and targets. Developing new products and market tools (e.g. Euro Loan, account planning and customer database) Executing lead generating direct mailings. Initiator, webmaster and content manager for the internet site.
Results: Acceptance of new work methods by the sales force. New tools created for the sales force. Conversion of all products into Euro proof products. New sales through DM actions, new website and planning cycle implemented

Task: Expand client portfolio and grow its profitability
Actions: Edit and execution of the account plans of mainly large Nordic Paper producers (Stora, Enso, Kymmene), consultative selling with these clients and acquisition of new clients. Prepare credit proposals, built financial models in excel. Prepare term sheets, issue payment orders, supervise reviews. Visit other banks in London to obtain invitations for syndicated deals. Researched possibilities in New York branch to enter US market in paper industry.
Results: Met or exceeded all targets.
