Developed a revenue stream of £50k through the on selling of consultancy support services by demonstrating a proven track record of achieving results by the application of the appropriate management techniques and philosophies.

* I designed, developed and project managed the implementation of a £1m integrated system to control the movements and servicing of 45000 vehicles per annum which including the use of bar code and radio data technology.

* Project managed the amalgamation of two companies based in the cable management industry with a combined turnover of £200m into one, which provided the opportunity to re engineer key process and the design, installation of an integrated management information system.

* Managed the implementation of integrated systems into a number of companies in a range of industries including electronics, engineering and textiles with turnover ranging from £10m to £800m.

Hepworth Building Products Divisional Planning Manager 1994 – 1997 £200m

Responsible to a Board Director of a company servicing the building industry, I managed the internal supply chain for an organisation, operating from 7 sites within the UK.

* Developed and managed the Divisional Sales and Operations process, which resulted in an increase in Customer Service from75% to 95%and a 33% decrease in inventory levels, £30m to £20m over a period of 12 months.



* The customer satisfaction survey provided the focus for the area of the business and the determination of the key measure of product and service delivery performance.


Hepworth Building Products Production Services Manager 1988 - 1994

Responsible to the Production Director of the plumbing division I managed the total supply chain of a company operating on 2 sites supplying plumbing fittings to the building industry.

* Project Manager on a full time basis to implement a full MRP II system that resulted in a 45% reduction in inventory, 17% reduction in direct labour cost, improved customer service to 95%, which released per annum £1.7m of working capital.

* Led a team that implemented a Shop Floor Data Capture system using bar code technology resulting in an inventory accuracy level of 97%.

* Seconded as Project Manager to implement business systems including MRP II onto a £25m greenfield site in Leicestershire manufacturing concrete pipes and fittings.

* Project Manager for the design, development and implementation of a ‘paperless’ warehousing and distribution system using bar code and radio data technology for a distribution centre handling 3000 customer orders and shipping 2.5 million items per month. Resulting in pick accuracy at 99%, reduced cost by £150k per annum, and enabled the company to offer a 24-hour response to customers.

* Undertook Interim Management projects
Distribution Manager 6 months:- Distribution department offering same day delivery service with 100 staff operating on 3 shifts, shipping 3000 orders and 2.5m items per month from a product range of 2500 items.
Production Manager 9 months 250 staff,injection moulding,extrusion and assemble work.
