The Bank undertook an ambitious Change programme aimed at saving 485m euro against a cost of 221m euro over a two year period.
· Responsibility for the European Centralisation Programme, aimed at migrating global branch back office operations to a central processing hub. Targeted to achieve 326m euro savings against an overall budget of 125m euro. Programme portfolio consisted of approximately 45 sub-programmes/projects aimed at organising (i) development of the receive hub (ii) development, implementation and co-ordination of non-UK based branch migrations and (iii) management of on-going highly dependant business as usual initiatives.
· Subsequent responsibility for the co-ordination of a Transition Programme involving rationalization of (i) Americas back office operations (savings of 40m euro by 2004 for a spend of 20m euro) (ii) Asia back office operations (savings of 30m euro against a spend of 18m euro) (iii) the global network of agent banks, and concurrent development of a system to manage the streamlined relationship (6m euro spend to achieve 15m euro saving in first year).

· Benefits Agency – Programme Manager
Design and implementation of the Central Programme Office aimed at supporting the Government PFI initiative to automate payment of all social security benefits through Post Offices nationwide. Eventual staffing in excess of 110 people. Subsequent Programme responsibility for overall risk and issue management and associated disaster/recovery planning.
