Project Management – Application Design and Integration - Implementation of Ariba eProcurement, Marketplaces and Internet auction / sourcing solutions (Royal & SunAlliance-UK ($7m), Goldnet-Israel ($12m), Kingfisher Group / Worldwide Retail Exchange), with PM input to several others (ABN AMRO, ING Bank, ABB, BMW, Credit Lyonnais etc….). Royal & SunAlliance now regarded as model reference site for Ariba in Europe, with tight integration to SAP R/3 and pilot introduction of Purchasing Card payment functionality/reconciliation.

Deployment planning - Managing project initialisation activities for several European projects.

Project Management – Process Review & Knowledge Optimisation - For HFC Bank, led team tasked with identifying improvement opportunities within HR and Support Services. Analysis provided recommendations presented as an aid to future business planning. Raised awareness of knowledge optimisation opportunities provided by ERP and BI applications (ie. Self-service kiosks/forms/internal training/business & quality processes).

Systems Integration - For Marconi Communications, analysed and identified integration issues between an existing AA-led systems implementation project and another concurrent, but isolated, project. Objectives were to build own Practice expertise, develop existing Client relationships and opportunities whilst minimising exposure.

Business Development - Provided industry advice, research and documentation support to internal teams in preparing solution proposals for potential and existing clients.

Practice Development - Provided input to several internal projects, including new e-Commerce (Ariba) practice and “Business Architecture” service lines.

Mar 1996 - Nov 1998 MOTOROLA Internet Networking Group (Project Manager)

Project Management – Wide range of projects – highlights below:
Led European implementation of Oracle Financials, HR, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain and Manufacturing. Provided direction for third party suppliers (hardware / software / consultants). Acted as focal point for European stakeholders and other Motorola sites during joint projects (both UK and overseas). Budget $2.5m, team size to 30.
Implemented BI (Brio) and Consolidation (Hyperion) applications – to support performance analysis (ie. Delivery performance, operational-order management, Supply Chain and to improve Financial Reporting / Consolidation capabilities.

Led Applications Development team for Product Configuration system and Sales Order Tracking and Reporting system.

Supply Chain Optimisation- Supply Chain Benchmarking study, analysing Order to Cash cycle and comparing to Best Practice – highlighting improvement opportunities – related project refined procurement process, with annual savings of $1 million in procurement costs.

Provided technical PM input to BACS payment system implementation.

Business Process - Author of strategic framework document for BPR project team in support of corporate objectives. Led “AS-IS” analysis activities, using process modelling, including SAP “ARIS” toolset.

Business Strategy Creation - Strategic Analysis and Choice – conducted review of manufacturing activities, providing evidence and strategic options for product development and marketing for European business unit.

Systems Implementation - Full project lifecycle experience as member of Core Project Team during implementation of SAP Financials (R/2).

Project Management - Designed and implemented new payroll system for 5000 employees. Included Gross to Nett Element Design, Data Modelling, Report Planning/Preparation, Salary Re-structuring and Labour Costing.

Systems Management - Controlled day-to-day operation of Finance Systems - General Ledger (CA-Masterpiece), Purchase Ledger and Payroll (UNIPAY / UNI-2000). Responsible for Finance user support/applications development.
