The American Production and Inventory Control Society (Apics) is the primary organization for practitioners in the field of production and inventory control. Besides its publications, APICS pro-motes the education of operations managers through annual conferences and certification pro-grams.

Certification CPIM*:
The program for Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) includes classes and examinations to certify competency in topics directly relevant to production and inventory man-agement (e.g., capacity management, inventory control, forecasting, shop-floor control,
just-in-time manufacturing).

* For more than 26 years, the CPIM program has been recognized as the international standard for individual as-sessment in the field of production and inventory management.

Certification CIRM**:
The program for Certification (classes and examinations) in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) deals with a broad view of Operations Management activities through a highly integrated curriculum that covers purchasing, logistics, marketing and customer service, and manufacturing processes.
