2011-today - ALMANOR INTERNATIONAL (Spain). Founded in 2011, Almanor International is a Spanish consulting firm, based in Madrid, specialized in international business development. Our main areas of expertise are: Opening of new markets for other companies; identification and introduction to new clients; creation of sales and distribution networks; regional sales/distribution team follow-up and audit; market research; product and service acceptance tests, etc. We do these on project, interim or permanent basis.
Position: Founder and Managing Director. I am in charge of identification of the company results, new clients, business development activities and management of our team of collaborators.
Main areas of expertise: Energy, EPC contracting, industrial products and services, renewable energy, oil and gas, other.

2008-2011 - CAPE PLC (UK). Cape plc is the world leading provider of non-mechanical services for industrial projects, mostly in the areas of energy and industry. The typical project was related to either construction or maintenance of large refineries, LNG terminals and petrochemical plants. Cape is a public (LSE) British company with more than 10.000 employees and global presence. The most important services provided by Cape are: Insulation, scaffolding, painting, asbestos management and rope access.
Position: General Manager. I was in charge of Cape’s subsidiary company covering the geographical areas of Southern Europe and Latin America (Latam).
Cape’s subsidiary was created as a vehicle to enter the unexplored geographical areas of Southern Europe and Latin America. I was the first employee to be hired and the company started its operations and grew from there. We had up to 250 employees in different projects within the region, with great financial results. Our main clients were the EPC contractors, for construction contracts; and project owners for maintenance contracts.
2002-2008 – MARUBENI CORPORATION (Japan) – Marubeni Corporation is one of the largest trading companies worldwide, with over $80 billion in annual trading volume. Marubeni in Spain operated through a Business Development Office located in Madrid, which mission was to promote and consolidate the different business opportunities raised by the group.
Position: Business Development Director. Reporting to the Vice-President of Marubeni Europe in London. I was in charge of all market actions.
Main Areas of expertise: Energy, EPC contracting, industrial products and services, renewable energy projects, oil and gas, homeland security, machinery.
Typical project profiles: Search of local and regional partners, development of strategic alliances between Japanese and Spanish companies; collaboration agreements for certain projects; search of suppliers, clients or collaborators; introduction of new product or services; project investment; identification and creation of sales and distribution networks, etc.
