Infrastructure Services Manager
Cardpoint are the market leader in the independent cash machine sector with operations in the UK and Germany.

Responsible for all aspects of Cardpoint’s ICT (including telephony) infrastructure (including all networked devices) spanning two sites in the UK and one in Germany, with over 130 users (office based, home workers & field-based); including mobile communications (mobile phones, BlackBerry and 3G data cards), facilities security management (building access control, CCTV, intruder alarm & fire alarm); as well as for the companies IT Strategy and Information Security policy; Operated within the PRINCE2 and ITIL frameworks.

- Developed the companies IT Strategy and IT Budget;
- Reviewed services (inc. Capacity Mgmt) & technology regularly against market trends (continual service improvement) – would be incorporated into the IT Strategy & budget.

- Managed (including invitation to tenders, selection, agreeing SLA’s, contract negotiations and service reviews) the companies 3rd party IT supplier relationships;

- Researched and reviewed a number of virtualisation solutions;
- Project managed the implementation and various service migrations to the new platform.

- Established requirements & project managed new office move (inc. new computer room, telephony switch & WAN connectivity);

- Developed the IT requirements for the project; headed the supplier selection process;

- Managed the supplier selection and evaluation process;

Dec – Mar 2006 Acquired New Business (MoneyBox Corp) - IT Infrastructure Consolidation
- Project managed the consolidation of Moneybox’s and Cardpoint’s Infrastructure – developed an interim solution and long-term solution;
- The interim solution enabled Cardpoint to extend their corporate identity to the newly acquired business until all services and staff were migrated to Cardpoint’s infrastructure.

Jan – Mar 2005 IT Maintenance service review
- Supplier wasn't performing. After evaluating a number of suppliers - negotiated a reduction in costs (£10k per annum), a specific service level agreement & exit clauses on non-performance.

Aug - Sept 2004
Blackberry trial and implementation
- Managed the initial trial of a number of Blackberry devices and then the implementation and roll-out once trial was successful.

Apr – Jun 2004 Disaster Recovery implementation
- After agreeing the final solution, project managed the implementation that incorporated a Windows 2003 Domain, Microsoft Exchange Server and Network file storage.

Dec – Mar 2004 Multi-site move
- Project managed two site moves to one new site; included supplier section, Infrastructure requirements (such as new computer room, cabling & new telephony switch) to building security (such as an access control system, CCTV monitoring and intruder system).

Sept - Dec 2003 Development and project management of replacement Infrastructure
- Replacement Infrastructure based on Windows 2003 included MS Exchange, file storage, VPN access & Desktop/ Laptop user migration.

Securicor Cash Machine (part of Group 4 Securicor plc) was an independent cash machine operator of over 1,200 Cash Machines in the UK.

Responsible for over 1200 ATMs (Automatic Teller Machine) from an IT operational & project perspective; Also responsible for ensuring that the ATM estate complied with LINK (governing body responsible for regulating ATMs in the UK) mandates.
