• Process improvements at a leading consumer goods manufacturer (process industry) to increase production capacity by 30%

• Redesign of the final assembly / flight line (incl. paint shop) of a world’s leading aircraft manufacturer to reduce throughput time by 50%

Quick Overview
Mr. Christian is an independent consultant specialized in consulting, interim (project) management and executive education in operational topics such as lean manufacturing, product development, mass customization, performance management, production preparation, factory design and change management.
Before going independent, Mr. worked for over four years as Practice Consultant / Manufacturing Specialist at McKinsey & Company, Germany. At McKinsey he has worked mainly on operational performance improvement, turnaround programs and factory green field planning (Production System Design). He was engaged with some of the world’s leading companies in the automotive, high-tech assembly, tool making and heavy machine industries.
He was also leading the experience hire recruiting and was a leading contributor to McKinsey´s Manufacturing Practice knowledge development. Here was in charge of designing educational programs and knowledge sessions covering key operational topics. He was highly regarded in his way of structuring and presenting knowledge topics internally or to clients.
Before joining McKinsey he worked two years for Porsche Consulting, a German consulting group specialized in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing in various industries. There he had the great opportunity to coordinate and actively join / coach all Shingijutsu Consulting activities during this time which has been a great learning opportunity.
Mr. joint Porsche Consulting from BTR automotive, one of the world largest automotive suppliers where he assisted in launching a new production facility in North Carolina, USA. Starting as industrial engineer he quickly got promoted to plant continuous improvement manager. Soon he became founding member of BTR`s improved manufacturing inhouse consulting group. Its task, to design/ roll out and coach a major lean manufacturing improvement program at all US, Canada and Mexican BTR sites.
