Responsible for Admin, Finance and Control and Facilities. Restructured the partnership accounting into International US GAAP. Implementing Management Reporting. Set up a budget process. Implemented Financial Systems. Implemented internal control and SOX procedures. Project Leader for implementation of Financial Systems in several European countries. Project Manager of outsourcing the transaction processing of Ireland and UK. December 2007 became also Region Controller for Benelux and Switzerland.

Restructured the organisation. Developing and implementing financial/ business strategies and control systems. Created a four year business plan to come to a profitable result and a positive cash flow. Setting up a management information system to show performance by Trailer Group, by depot and by country. Heavily involved with the refinancing of the company, contacts with the banks and financial institutions. Responsible for operations together with the Sales Market Manager.

Finance & Operations Manager (Europe)

Set up a good and efficient running organisation in Leiden (HQ) in one year time, as well as in the European subsidiaries. Also responsible for world wide order management. Implemented policies and procedures. In cooperation with sales negotiated with our partners to change the exclusive contracts into non-exclusive contract to open distribution in Europe and the rest of the world (except US). Heavily involved with two acquisitions in the UK (see for the remaining responsibilities the organisation chart and job description).

Controller

Restructured the controller department and reduced the month end closing by 3 days to now 7 days. Was successful in getting the distribution activities for the LaserJet into the Netherlands in cooperation with the Sales Administration Manager. Set up a simple and understandable management information/ reporting system. Created and introduced a training for non-financial managers. Initiated and implemented activity based costing in a sales-marketing environment. Reduced the tax effect on the compensation and benefit programs. Effectuated the cost-plus ruling (tax) for the European distribution center. Settled financially and administratively the Apollo without any problem.

Integrated the administration and distribution activities into the Dutch organisation. Supported the dealers administratively and advised them financially. During 1987 substituted for the European Financial Director of headquarters, located in Brugge.
