- Introduced a state-of-the art Succession Planning and Career Progression process for the top 200 executives in private banking, establishing a talent pool as well as an intranet based Key Talent Database. No such process existed before in Private Banking.

1999-2000 Head Human Resources Onshore Private Banking Outside Switzerland
Member of the Executive Committee of the PB Onshore Business Unit, a newly created business via acquisitions and greenfield operations in the EU, Asia and USA with about 1000 employees.
- Responsible for HR, particularly recruitment, succession planning, executive compensation and due diligence in acquisitions.
- Lead the annual evaluation, promotion, bonus and salary review process. Convinced senior management to underspend the bonus pool by 15 %, in line with business results.
- Successfully recruited the Regional Head Europe and thereby significantly improved quality of management.

1999 - 2000 Project Leader Global Recruitment Project
- Charged with setting up and implementing a global process for recruitment of professional staff in the entire Private Banking Division.
- Heading a 30-member global virtual team of line managers, HR generalists and HR specialists. 50 % activity in combination with Head HR Onshore PB (above).
- Completed project successfully: six Quick Win improvements implemented as from June 2000 Structured Interviewing Techniques, Recruitment Assessment Centres, Interviewing Web Tool, Feedback Process for Rejections, Induction Process and Quality Standards.
- Personally trained the Private Banking Business Committee in Structured Interviewing.

- Responsible for all HR activities for this new company resulting from a merger of two former competitors. Majority of shares held by George Fischer Corporation
- Company has plants, sales and service offices on 4 continents and in 20 countries.
- Successfully initiated and led change projects to integrate the companies following merger: Global Management Workshops, international job rotations, harmonisation of health insurance plan for Switzerland, introduction and editor-in-chief of global management newsletter.
- Successfully led downsizing operations in Switzerland and Germany (90 people in 1997 and 120 in 1998) including social plan design, union negotiations and internal/external communication. Directly involved in major restructuring of the Group and its Senior Management.
- Harmonised terms and conditions of executives world-wide, due to the merger and to acquisitions.
- Successfully led project to design a benchmarked succession management framework for the Group.
- Successfully led project to design and implement new expatriate policy for the Group.

- Responsible for Resourcing and Career Development for 250 of the top 400 Executives in Europe. External Recruitment of Executives and MBA’s.
- Identification and Assessment of High Potentials; introduction of High Potential Assessment Centres in the smaller European sales companies.
- Adviser and HQ Contact for Sales Organisations in Europe, Adam Opel AG and the Technical Development Centre in Germany, Opel Belgium and SAAB in Sweden.
- Responsible for staffing and organisational set-up of the GM side of the new Light Commercial Vehicle joint venture with Renault.
- Designed female diversity strategy accepted by the European Strategy Board for implementation in the operating units.
- Successfully lead a 5-member pan-European team plus external consultants to develop a new Global Expatriate Compensation policy for career internationalists.
- Elected to represent HR in a cross-functional team to design and implement a Brand Management system in Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Successfully recruited a brand manager from a top FMCG company as well as internal brand managers, designed broad band compensation policy and a brand management training programme.

- Responsible for development of compensation and benefits policies for Shell in the Netherlands covering both hourly and salaried employees.
- Led various projects, such as optimisation and reduction of fringe benefits, working time flexibilisation and international staff mobility.
- Member of the Collective Agreement Strategy Team. Representative for Shell in national Employer’s Associations.
- Designed a strategy for the Shell Netherlands Board on Employability, which was accepted.
- Led implementation of SEARCH, i.e. reduction of HR staff by 50% by re-engineering HR processes.

1992 - 1993 Human Resources Manager
Shell Research GmbH, Schwabenheim, Germany.
Shell agrochemical laboratory; 200 employees, 50 Million DEM turnover.
- Leading a team of four staff, responsible for all HR activities. One of six members of the site management team.
- Site had been acquired by Shell when arrived and was sold when left.
- Successfully designed and introduced various new or Shell standard HR instruments and methods: Recruitment Assessment Centres; Performance Appraisal Systems, Training Guides and Merit Pay.
- As a Member of the Implementation Team for transition of the company to American Cyanamid, contributed to the successful integration with responsibility for internal communications and restructuring.

- Responsible for resourcing, transferring, compensation and career development of some expatriate 550 petroleum engineers and managers world-wide.
